Welcome

Counselling can help to connect more fully with yourself, other people and the world around you.  Whatever the reason you might be looking to seek counselling, I provide a safe, accepting and supportive space to explore and work through feelings, thoughts, images, dreams and experiences.  My working experience includes health issues, sexuality, gender identity, anxiety, depression and relationships.

About me

I’m a queer, non-binary counsellor and parent based in Hackney. I use they/them pronouns.

I’m curious about people, the things we feel and the connections we make, on our own, with others, in communities, and with our environments. How we get stuck sometimes, how we learn to survive and how we thrive and grow. I’m interested in the mind-body connection, processes of transformation, wild therapy and exploring queer family building.  I have experience with, and am passionate about working with GSRD (Gender sexuality and relationally diverse) folks and the LGBTIQA+ community. I believe in creating therapy spaces for queer and trans people where they are met in a place of understanding and support and don’t need to explain their gender or sexuality.

I have personal experience of living with neuro-divergence, disability and a long-term health condition.

My Approach

My Psychosynthesis training is integrative, encompassing various modalities and drawing from all schools of psychology.  My focus is relational, meaning I attune to each clients relational needs and draw on the relationship between us to inform the work.  I embody the person-centred core conditions of empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence (genuineness), whilst working in affirmatively with gender, sexuality and relationship diversity.

My Background

I grew up in a village in the Midlands, studied in North Wales, and moved to London to work in the homeless sector in 2005, where I worked for 15+ years, mostly in front-line support work. I am also a cofounder and director at The Outside Project

Qualifications & Experience

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in counselling from the The Psychosynthesis Trust (PGDip awarded by Middlesex University), and am a registered accredited member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), working inline with their ethical framework. I have 8 years counselling experience, including a year as a volunteer counsellor at London Friend.
